Retail trade sales in Saskatchewan reached $2.2 billion in 2024, up 5.1 per cent from last year. A news release from the province says Statistics Canada shows that this jump in percentage ranks second among the provinces.
Saskatchewan displays other signs of economic success according to Stars Can, including exports totaling over $102 billion for 2022 and 2023 combined, which is an increase of over 52 per cent from the previous two-year period. It’s also the highest export number in the province’s history.
Statistics Canada indicates that Saskatchewan is second in the country for GDP growth, as it rose by 2.3 per cent between 2022 and 2023, reaching what the province says is an all-time high of $77.9 billion.
