Four adults from Montreal Lake have been arrested following the report of a firearm discharge early this morning.
At 12:15 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP were called to a business in Northside, Saskatchewan, and determined that a man had discharged a firearm towards a vehicle. No injuries were reported by the occupants to police. The man then got into a vehicle with a group of individuals and left.
Officers located the suspect vehicle on Highway #2. A traffic stop was attempted, but unsuccessful. The suspects proceeded west on Highway #3 toward Shellbrook before throwing multiple items out the vehicle window, including a rifle, which officers seized from the side of the road.
A tire deflation device was used to bring the vehicle to a stop near Shellbrook, and two men and two women were arrested at the scene. Three containers of cocaine were located in the vehicle.
As one of the women was being lodged in Prince Albert RCMP cells, she bit a police officer, causing minor injury. Now, 28-year-old Kirk McDonald, 30-year-old Randy Charles, 27-year-old Nadia Naytowhow and 33-year-old Alisha Ross are facing numerous charges, and they are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. The investigation continues.
