Saskatoon Police have arrested a 25-year-old man after a can of bear spray was pulled on a cab driver this morning.
At around 1:00 a.m., police were called to the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive for a report of a man breaking the windows on a cab.
Upon arrival, officers found out that a cab driver had picked up a man and woman in the 800 block of Confederation Drive and driven them to the 4100 block of Diefenbaker Drive before the man confronted the cab driver with a can of bear spray. Reports say the cab driver was able to pull the can of bear spray away from the man, before the suspect left the vehicle and began breaking its windows with a metal object. The cab driver then fled to the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive to call police.
Continued investigation led police back to the 800 block of Confederation Drive where they arrested the man, who is now charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000 by willful damage to property.
