An armed robbery of a vehicle back on Saturday in Prince Albert has resulted in two people being arrested.
A Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) news release says a 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman face charges of use of a firearm during a robbery, failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking, failure to comply with conditions of a release order and breaching a conditional sentence order. The incident occurred at about 4:45 p.m. on March 15 when PAPS officers were called to the 300 block of 19th Street West for a report of a robbery in progress with initial information saying that a vehicle was stolen at gunpoint while doing an informal ride share. Police found the physically-unharmed victim in the 300 block of 22nd Street West while other officers eventually located the vehicle in the 3000 block of 5-A Avenue East unoccupied. The male and female suspects were located and arrested shortly thereafter with police locating the keys to the stolen vehicle and a sawed-off shotgun.
