The Doepker Group of Companies, which manufactures semi-trailers, has acquired the Peerless and Scona trailer brands from Manac Inc.
The full Peerless and Scona trailer product lines will now be manufactured in Saskatchewan after being based out of Penticton, B.C. for 80 years.
The operation is moving to Saskatoon this summer.
Engineering, retail parts, and truck rigout operations will remain based in Penticton, BC.
In a news release Doepker says the acquisition strengthens Doepker’s position in the industry and expands its ability to serve key sectors, including oil and gas, mining, forestry, logging, and construction.
