The Director of Operations & Engagement at the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre says they are excited to offer the community a fun and dynamic event celebrating the talent right here in Saskatoon while making it accessible for everyone.

Deborah Hamp says after being approached by the Art Posse, a group of artists, they have created HeARTworks which is taking place on April 25th.

There will be tasting stations and along with visual arts there will be other artisans taking part in addition to curated live and silent auctions, musical performances and artisan experience packages.

She says it’s a great initiative especially in light of winding down Artists Against Hunger after 30 years. The proceeds go to the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.

One in five children in Saskatchewan are facing poverty and 41 per cent of their clientele is children.
