One suspect was arrested and charged after an alleged assault on a City of Saskatoon Transit Bus Thursday night. Around 9:30 p.m. police responded to a report of assault in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue North.  Officers located a suspect and made the arrest after a short pursuit.

A 50-year-old woman reported that the suspect tried to force the door open and board a locked bus. When the woman made an effort to intervene, she was pushed to the ground in a physical altercation. The altercation continued on board the bus when the male reportedly began being verbally aggressive with patrons. He then fled the scene as police were arriving.

A 32-year-old male is charged with Assault, Obstructing a Police Officer and Causing a Disturbance.
