
The Government of Saskatchewan says the latest Statistics Canada numbers show an increase of 27.2 per cent in January 2025 compared to January 2024 for the building construction investment in the province.
Housing starts for Saskatchewan increased by 115.7 per cent from February 2024 to February 2025.
In a news release Trade and Export Development Minister Warren Kaeding said, “These two key indicators are reflective of the overall strength of our provincial economy and today’s numbers show continued positive growth.”
In February 2025, housing starts on single family dwellings increased by 80.8 per cent and multiple units increased by 127.6 per cent, compared to February 2024
