A drive by shooting in Prince Albert has sent a woman to hospital with a gunshot wound.

On Saturday evening at 6:20, officers were called to the area of 12th Avenue West and 16th Street West after it was believed a firearm was discharged several times.

Officers learned that a white truck believed to be involved drove west on 16th Street West while a white sedan was reported to have been driving east bound on 15th Street West.

Police found the white sedan in the 1200 block of 24th Street West where a male and an injured female were both detained for a weapons investigation. The woman was taken to hospital. The white sedan had several bullet holes shot in it. The vehicle, along with multiple bullet casings, were seized.

Prince Albert Police are trying to locate the suspect vehicle described as a white Dodge Ram extended cab pickup truck with black tonneau cover and chrome accents along the bottom.
