The City of Prince Albert is planning a gradual rollout of the services available at Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre. The facility is now 99 per cent complete and will have a phased in opening.
Right now, ice rinks are open for bookings. Regarding the aquatics facility, Lifeguard training sessions are scheduled for March and April. Public programs like lane swimming, aquacise and public swimming in limited numbers will open up later in the spring. As always, the Kinsmen Water Park (KWP) is set to open in the first week of June.
The City anticipates full operation of the Lake Country Co-op Leisure Centre by fall 2025, with a grand opening event planned for late August or early September. As they get ready to full open the facility city staff and contractors will embark on a thorough cleaning, installation of networking infrastructure and installation of regulatory and wayfinding signage.
