Wollaston Lake RCMP are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday on the Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation.
At 12:10 p.m., RCMP received a report that someone had been seriously injured near a home on the First Nation.
Officers responded to the scene to find 24-year-old Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation resident Gaten Josie ‘Joseyounen’ dead.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone who lives in the area, or who drove through Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation on Tuesday between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., to check their home security cameras or dash cameras.
