Thanks to the thoughtful donations across Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba, the two-day Critical Care On the Air Radiothon for STARS has raised $527,000.
STARS thanks the V.I.P.s, the Very Important Patients who shared their inspiring survival stories and everyone who made a donation, from businesses and organizations to families and individuals.
It was 40 years ago that STARS began and since then has flown over 60,000 missions, operating a fleet of 10 state of the art ambulance helicopters over the three provinces. STARS has been in Saskatchewan since April of 2012.
The charity organization is funded through a combination of donations and government contributions.
