Three men from Saskatoon and area have been arrested and face a laundry list of charges following an armed robbery in North Battleford late Saturday evening.
A Saskatchewan RCMP news release said the Battlefords detachment received a report at about 10:40 p.m. on April 5 of a robbery at a business on Highway #16. Attending officers were able to determine that three suspects entered the business and threatened employees with a firearm, assaulting one of the employees in the process. The suspects stole a sum of cash, electronics and I-D/financial cards before fleeing east on Highway #16 in a vehicle.
The vehicle was eventually spotted near the Borden Bridge and, with the assistance of Warman RCMP and Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan, officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the three occupants without incident. They are 41-year-old Mark Zielke from Saskatoon, 44-year-old Tyson Moore from Saskatoon and 41-year-old David Dominguez from Corman Park.
Police located and seized the items reported as stolen from the business – as well as a loaded handgun, from the vehicle. Zielke, Moore and Dominguez were all scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday.
