A 41-year-old Regina man was arrested Sunday morning in east-central Alberta following the theft of a truck on the Saskatchewan side of the border.

Oyen RCMP attempted to stop the Ford F350 that was travelling on a secondary road. The driver evaded police and drove the truck into a field before fleeing on foot. An extensive search involving police service dogs and drones eventually located the man in the Esther, Alberta area.

Jeffrey McLean faces stolen property charges, as well as fleeing from police and driving a vehicle without an operator’s license.
