About 200 Holstein and 60 Jersey cows and heifers are at Prairieland for the Western Dairy Expo.

Entries are here from as far away as the Okanagan in British Columbia. Megan Baars is working on a dairy farm near Vernon with nine entries at the show, which is being broadcast online with full commentary. Megan was busy washing one of their animals when we met her on Thursday morning.

In addition to the various dairy shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday—the first annual Legends of the Industry Awards to be presented Friday evening. Bryce Fisher is on the organizing committee.
