
In the last two weeks, one person in Saskatchewan has died with Covid according to the province’s respiratory illness report.
Recording data between April 6th and 19th, the report indicates the number of positive COVID-19 tests increased during this reporting period from 5 last reporting period to 18 tests. Most of the cases were reported in those 65 years and older.
The number of positive RSV tests continues to decrease, from 21 tests to 11 tests in the week ending April 19.
Influenza test positivity also decreased to 17.1 per cent.
Eleven respiratory virus outbreaks were reported in high-risk settings such as long-term care facilities, personal care homes and group homes in this reporting period, seven of which were reported due to influenza.
