The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to an injured person report around 8:00 p.m. Thursday night in the 100 block of Avenue U South.

Police say the injured person had been shot. He was found outside of an apartment building and was taken to hospital for a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

The Serious Assault Unit continues to investigate and says they have not yet learned whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
