On Thursday at approximately 12:00 p.m. police were called to the 500 block of 12th Street East to a report of mischief in progress where the initial information provided to police indicated a woman had started a house on fire.
Officers located a suspect a block away and made the arrest.
The Prince Albert Fire Department extinguished the fire and a 40-year-old woman has been charged with arson causing damage to property.
No one was injured in the fire.
