
An RCMP traffic stop has resulted in 13 drug and weapons related charges for a Wynyard man.
On March 12 at 2:00 a.m., Wynyard RCMP officers arrested a man during a traffic stop on B Avenue in Wynyard in relation to an ongoing investigation.
A search of the vehicle produced 132 grams of methamphetamine, 162 grams of marijuana, brass knuckles, identification that didn’t belong to the man, drug paraphernalia and 19 packs of unstamped tobacco.
Officers also learned that the vehicle was stolen out of Calgary.
Now, 51-year-old Jason Wingert of Wynyard is facing 13 charges and is scheduled to appear in Wynyard Provincial Court on May 22.
