Saskatoon Police Service says officers were callled to the city’s Confederation Park neighbourhood after an attempted break in and theft.
Officers responded around 2:00 p.m. Friday to a home in the 3800 block of Miyowahkohtowin Road after it was reported an unknown male had entered the home and tried to steal bicycles.
A resident confronted the man who allegedly grabbed a nearby knife and was threatening the victim. A suspect fled but was located in the back yard of a home on 33rd street, just over half a kilometre away.
A 34-year-old man is charged with Break and Enter and Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
