November 30th will be the last day for Kirby Wirchenko as the Broadway Theatre’s Executive Director. A news release from the Broadway Theatre says they served 27 thousand patrons annually on a budget of $300 thousand dollars when Kirby started back in 2008. Since then, patronage has grown to over 80 thousand people a year and the pre-pandemic budget was approaching $2 million. Since being hired by the non-profit group The Friends of the Broadway Theatre which oversees the Broadway Theatre back in the spring of 2008, Wirchenko has worked with over 100 board members and staff. Wirchenko says “I have been lucky to have incredible boards that allowed me to bring vision, build a team that is second to none in the industries we work in and truly run the operations. Wirchenko is the first-ever Executive Director in the history of the Broadway Theatre.
