Sylvia Fedoruk School had an unexpected visitor this morning (Thurs). A moose smashed through a window at the school in Evergreen, so the classroom was evacuated. There were no injuries reported. An update on social media says the moose ended up in the community room. It was sedated and Conservation Officers are relocating it outside the city. It’s believed there were two moose spotted separately at various locations in northeast Saskatoon this morning.
92.9 The Bull morning show host Pat Dubois gained international attention when tweeting about the situation Thursday morning. He named the moose “Petunia” and had listeners texting in pictures and messages as the incident unfolded. The New York Times and The Canadian Press were among a number of national and international news agencies wanting to hear Dubois’s side of the story.
