Students from Parkland College traveled to Mexico recently as part of the Global Skills Opportunity Initiative, which is the federal government’s Outbound Student Mobility Pilot Project.
the goal is to improve international travel opportunities for Indigenous and low income students.
Parkland College partnered with Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Autonomous University of Yucatan for this initiative, where students learned and experienced both Mexican and Mayan culture.
The next Global Skills Opportunity at Parkland College is scheduled for next spring.
