The average gas price in Saskatoon has climbed nearly 15 cents over the last few days.

According to CAA, the average gas price in Saskatoon today (thurs) is $1.71 a litre.

Last year, the average gas price in Saskatoon was $1.32 a litre, according to CAA. In Regina, the average price of gas Thursday is a $1.69 a litre.

Low refinery output is said to be one of the reasons behind the rise in gasoline prices.
