On the first of four days dedicated to a search for Megan Gallagher’s body, human remains have been located along the South Saskatchewan River in the St. Louis area where the coordinated search was started.
Testing will be conducted to determine identity after searchers on the river near the community located human remains at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon. The Saskatoon Police Service’s Forensic Identification Unit will be processing the scene and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service has been notified. Further information will be released when it becomes available. Megan Gallagher was last seen in September of 2020 at the Macs Convenience Store on Diefenbaker Drive. Earlier Thursday, the S-P-S told a media availability that they believed Gallagher was murdered in Saskatoon and her body disposed of in St. Louis. Eight people have been arrested in connection to Megan Gallagher’s murder and disappearance with more arrests expected.
