Rollins Head won $1-million in the September 23 LOTTO MAX draw—buying his ticket at the Prairie North Co-op in Melfort.
Head went to two different locations to scan the winning ticket because he though there was a mistake. When the cashier at the second location scanned his ticket, the terminal froze up, confirming he had won.
“My hands were shaking,” Head said in a Western Canada Lottery Corporation news release. “People in the store were congratulating me as I was leaving.”
Plans for the windfall include home renovations and enjoying outdoor hobbies such as quadding and hunting.
Meantime, a LOTTO MAX ticket sold in Regina for the October 4th draw is also worth $1-million. The winning numbers are 7, 9, 14, 15, 26, 37 and 38.
