No Egor Sidorov? No problem for the Saskatoon Blades when you can spin the “Conner Roulette Wheel” for offence!
The 19-year-old left winger collected his first hat-trick as a member of the Bridge City Bunch, and the second of his W-H-L career, scoring the three goals consecutively as the Blue and Gold erased a 1-0 Moose Jaw lead and went on to a 4-1 triumph over the Warriors before 2,586 Thanksgiving Sunday fans at SaskTel Centre. With Sidorov sidelined by an Upper Body injury suffered late in Friday’s 5-3 victory in Brandon, after he had scored three times in that contest, Roulette (pictured) picked up the slack Sunday. The former Seattle Thunderbird, acquired just before training camp started for Kyle Crnkovic, now has five goals and five assists in five games played this season. Josh Pillar added the fourth tally for the Blades and chipped in an assist while Ethan Chadwick made 16 saves in goal as Saskatoon improved to 5-2-0 to start the season. The Warriors dropped to 4-3-0 as they were out-shot 50-17 and got their only goal from Slovak import Robert Baco. The Blades are off until Sunday, October 16 when they welcome the Calgary Hitmen to SaskTel Centre. Following is the official game summary, courtesy the W-H-L, the audio highlights from CJWW’s broadcast plus Post-Game Show interviews with head coach Brennan Sonne, Roulette and Pillar…..
