A pair of 33-year-old Saskatoon men are facing more than 70 charges following a drug bust last Friday afternoon.
Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team executed a warrant in the 400 block of Streb Way in the Parkridge area. A man was in the garage, but he refused to leave. The Crisis Negotiation Team was called in and the man was taken into custody about an hour later.
At approximately the same time, a second search warrant was conducted at a home in the 300 block of Hampton Circle. The second suspect was arrested, and police seized 8.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, 7.2 grams of cocaine, 7.3 kilograms of cannabis THC products, handguns, a sawed-off shotgun, an assault rifle, loaded shotgun, brass knuckles, body armour, a machete, more than 2,700 rounds of ammunition and drug paraphernalia.
An additional investigation later located more than $100,000 worth of tools and six vehicles. More charges are anticipated.
