This is Archives Week in Saskatchewan and this year Provincial Archives is showcasing some of the more unique records in the collection on social media. Provincial Archivist, Carol Radford-Grant, says, “Archives are all about showcasing the history of our province, and this year we want to ‘unlock our vaults’ and highlight some things we think you’ll find interesting.”
Representatives from the Provincial Archives will be in Moose Jaw for Community Heritage Day on Saturday and also in Saskatoon at the Western Development Museum. They will show you how to search the Provincial Archives’ online catalogue. Some of the videos on YouTube include a fiddle archive for the province and an archive of Craik’s oral history.
