Saskatchewan RCMP are warning the public about a possible scam in the name of RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki, which was received by email. La Ronge RCMP received the report about the email.

The letter attached to the email, with what looks like official letterhead from the RCMP and UNICEF, states that the Executive Director of UNICEF and the Commissioner of the RCMP are sending a summons and taking legal action after a cyber investigation into things like cyber pornography, sexual trafficking, and cyber pedophilia. There is a lot of what looks like legal jargon alleging email exchanges with several minors. The person who receives the email is to send back a reply with justifications which will be reviewed.

Police confirm that this is NOT legitimate. The advice from Saskatchewan RCMP is that if you receive this, delete it immediately without replying. Always check the legitimacy of the sender or sending address before opening or responding to email.
