The Saskatoon-based family-owned company was founded in 1962 and has grown to a supply chain with 11 terminals in Canada and four in the United States.
TFI International is headquartered in Montreal and offers North American customers service in the following segments:
-Package and courier
– Less-Than-Truckload
-Truckload
-Logistics
Doug Siemens will continue to manage the business as part of TFI’s Less-Than-Truckload segment and report to Executive Vice-President Rick Hashie. Siemens Transportation Group generates annual revenues of approximately $150 million.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the sale is subject to regulatory approval.
In the same news release, TFI International also announced the acquisition of a Wisconsin company—Hot Line Freight Systems.
