On Sunday afternoon, in a part of Saskatoon that sees a fair bit of traffic with folks walking, biking, jogging, or just going for a drive along the river, there was a police investigation in the area that resulted in a heavy police presence for about two hours.
At 3:17 p.m. the Saskatoon Police Service issued an advisory of a heavy police presence near 33rd Street West and Spadina Crescent and were asking members of the public to avoid the area.
At 5:19 p.m., police sent an update saying traffic restrictions were lifted but no further details on the police investigation were provided.
