Surrey RCMP believe the parental abduction of eight-year-old Aurora Bolton and ten-year-old Joshuah Bolton were pre-planned. An Amber Alert was launched for the children on July 19th when they weren’t returned to their father after a scheduled visit with their mom, Verity Bolton. A news release from the RCMP states that credible information supports the theory that the abduction was pre-planned and it supports the idea that Verity Bolton, her father Robert Bolton, and her boyfriend Abraxas Glazov have moved “off the grid” with the children and are believed to be living in trailers somewhere in a rural area.
The only confirmed sightings to date have been in Kelowna, Merritt and Kamloops, but the last confirmed sighting of the children was July 7th at a gas station in Merritt. Over 180 tips have been received so far.
Police are releasing a few more details about Verity Bolton’s boyfriend and her father. Fifty-three-year-old Abraxas Glazov is from Nelson, BC and he has connections to the Deadman Valley and Vidette Lake area. He is an outdoorsman and has a history of living “off the grid” for periods of time. Robert Bolton is from the Chilliwack area. He is 74 and has health concerns and may present as confused or disoriented.
The RCMP have released a new picture of Abraxas Glazov:
