The Saskatchewan Agriculture weekly crop report estimates four per cent of the provincial crop is in the bin with a good chunk of that peas and lentils in the southwest.
Crops in the southwest have matured earlier than usual due to the very warm and dry growing season. An estimated 11 per cent has already been combined in the southwest, with Crop District 4B already at 27 per cent.
About four to five per cent of the crop has been combined in the west central region, while most other parts of the province are at one percent or less.
Only 12 per cent of provincial cropland and 10 percent of pasture have adequate topsoil moisture. There were only scattered thunderstorms last week which brought some rain to the Humboldt, North Battleford and Eyebrow areas.
Haying and silaging have wrapped up for the year across much of the province. These are the final production estimates.
