Linamar Corporation based in Guelph, Ontario is adding the air seeding manufacturer to its stable of companies, which already includes harvesting specialist MacDon, as well as tillage and crop nutrition expert Salford.
Linamar says it now possesses a full lineup of products covering the entire production cycle from field preparation, to seeding, crop nutrition, harvest and post harvest.
Jim Jarrell is Linamar’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
Linamar and its various operations employ more than 29,000 persons worldwide in a total of 60 manufacturing plants, 8 R&D centers and 25 sales offices in 17 countries located in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
In a news release announcing the sale, Bourgault President Gerry Bourgault says the family is extremely proud of the legacy created in St. Brieux and around the world.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
