The local Saskatoon Minor Baseball season starts later this week with the Under-7 and Under-9 division players to be adorned in new uniforms provided by the new Saskatoon Berries of the Western Canadian Baseball League (pictured).

The Berries and Baseball Saskatoon announced a partnership in which the W-C-B-L team will be the presenting sponsor of the Rally Cap U-7 and U-9 divisions, to be now known as the Junior Berries. The partnership includes the Zone 5 North and South divisions. Besides uniforms for the teams, Baseball Saskatoon will receive funding through the Berries game day 50-50 draws.
As for the Berries, single game tickets go on sale on Wednesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. The first W-C-B-L home game is May 28 against Regina, three days after the Berries open the 2024 season in Regina.
