Two women are charged in connection to a homicide investigation at Hatchet Lake First Nation. Wollaston Lake RCMP responded to a report that someone had been seriously hurt around 6 pm last Saturday. When officers arrived, the 42-year-old had been taken to the local clinic, where he was pronounced dead.
An RCMP news release says investigators learned that there had been an altercation between a group of people, and that’s when Christopher Joseyounen of Hatchet Lake First Nation was injured. Thirty-six-year-old Tricia St. Pierre of Hatchet Lake First Nation and 18-year-old Tinnisha Josie from Wollaston Lake are both charged with second degree murder. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate.
