A Prince Albert Police Service investigation into a Canada Day assault in the 1000 block of Branion Drive required a news release Wednesday to clarify information in a social media post about the incident.
The P-A Police say information in the social media post has formed part of their investigation. At 8:28 p.m. on July 1, officers responded to the 1000 block of Branion Drive for a report of an assault in progress. Further information relayed to them said that a male victim was not moving after being assaulted by three male suspects. The 24-year-old victim was found on school grounds at the scene and transported by Parkland Ambulance to hospital in stable condition. From there, the Canine Unit joined the officers in the search for not just three male suspects, but a female suspect as well. The investigation revealed that the suspects fled the area southwest between the apartments in the 1000 block of Branion Drive. No arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation.
The four suspects are described as follows…
A 20-to-25-year-old female with long, dark hair, wearing a grey short-sleeved shirt, black pants and carrying a purse.
An 18-to-25-year-old male of slim build with short, dark hair, wearing a white jersey-style muscle shirt with the number, black track pants with white stripes down the side and white running shoes.
A 20-to-25-year-old male of average build with short, dark hair, wearing a black ball cap, light colored shirt, dark pants with white pattern, while running shoes and carrying a belt bag across his upper body.
Another 20-to-25-year-old male of average build, wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants, white running shoes and a dark ball cap worn backwards.
