Saskatoon Police say they responded to several bear spray incidents and police do not believe they are connected.
At 9:50 a.m. on Monday police were called to 19th Street West and Avenue C South where a 24-year-old woman was suffering the effects of bear spray however the victim was uncooperative and did not provide any information. Around 3:50 p.m. officers were called to the 200 block of Avenue O South where a 7-year-old boy had been bear sprayed by an unknown person.
At 6:40 p.m. officers responded to the 400 block of Confederation Drive after receiving a report of someone being bear sprayed. The suspects had fled the scene and officers transported the victim home. The investigation is ongoing. Around the same time officers also responded to the 100 block of 33rd Street West for a report of a bear spray incident and officers say the victim didn’t want charges. Finally, at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday officers responded to a bear spray incident in the 100 block of Nelson Road but were unable to locate a suspect however the victim was treated on scene by paramedics. The victim also didn’t want charges at this time.
