The Saskatoon Police Service will be providing an update on Tuesday about the search of the city landfill, looking for the remains of Mackenzie Lee Trottier, who was last seen on December 21st of 2020. She was 22 years old at the time.
The search of the landfill began in May and was only supposed to last until June 3rd, with police and purpose-trained cadaver dogs searching a 930 cubic metre area of the landfill, but at the end of May, police announced the search would continue. Mackenzie Lee Trottier was last seen leaving her home in the 300 block of Trent Crescent .Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
Saskatoon Police Chief Cameron McBride, Staff Sergeant Corey Lenius, and forensic anthropologist Dr. Ernie Walker will provide the update Tuesday.
