The Saskatchewan RCMP are asking the public to report sightings of a silver 2017 Toyota Camry following the report of a theft in Cut Knife yesterday.
At 3:00 p.m., officers received a call about a theft at a business on Frontage Road in Cut Knife where two males left the business without paying for their fuel.
A witness followed them in a vehicle to Sweetgrass First Nation area but were soon looking down the end of a firearm, as the suspect’s vehicle had pulled over and the occupants produced a gun.
No injuries were reported. Through investigation, it was determined that the men were involved in an armed robbery in Leduc, Alberta earlier the same day.
The suspects are believed to be driving a silver 2017 Toyota Camry with Alberta license plate E16 163, that had been stolen from the Edmonton area on August 7. The vehicle was spotted by North Battleford RCMP around 4pm, where they attempted a traffic stop that proved unsuccessful.
The two men are described as South Asian with thin builds and trimmed beards. Both have a medium complexion and dark hair. One is described as 6 feet tall with curly hair. If you see them, contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
