A Regina man has been arrested after 29 vehicles had their tires slashed in the Fairhaven neighborhood early Sunday morning.
The Saskatoon Police Service were dispatched to the area of Pendygrass Road and McCormack Road around 4:20am for the report of a man slashing tires. Officers say they found a man walking Eastbound on Pendygrasse who matched the description of the suspect.
The 52-year-old man had a warrant out for his arrest. While being detained, officers found him to be in possession of two knives.
For anyone else who has been impacted by this incident, or others, Police Chief Cam McBride’s advice is to always report.
“If a member of the public has been victimized in that way, they should report it to the police so we can add it to the file appropriately, and that individual can face each circumstance in the way that they need to.”
The man is facing weapons related charges, and his mischief charges are pending.
