Statistics Canada puts the number at 16.5 million in May, or 585,000 more than the previous year.

Saskatchewan has the lowest share of employees mostly working from home at only 10.1 percent. Of those travelling to work in our province, 91.3 per cent drive cars, trucks, SUV’s or vans, 3.2 per cent use public transit and 4.4 per cent walk.
The vast majority of Canadians—89.5 per cent—drive to work alone. The majority of car pooling is done in Ontario, BC and Quebec.
