Tomorrow, flags at fire stations across Canada will fly at half-mast to remember firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty, as it is Firefighters’ National Memorial Day.
Fire Chief Doug Wegren says, “Firefighters face extraordinary risks in keeping our communities safe,” and we must “remember their courage, commitment and unwavering dedication to protecting others.”
The Saskatoon Fire Department will observe a moment of silence at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Firefighters will be at attention on the ramps of their stations.
