It was another record-breaking day in terms of temperatures in Saskatchewan on Monday. And that includes Saskatoon. Saskatoon set a new daytime high for September 9th after the mercury reached 34.2 degrees. Regina and Prince Albert also set new records at 34 and 34.5 degrees respectively. Nipawin was the hot spot in Saskatchewan and in the country with a daytime high of 35.8 degrees. And to illustrate the extreme swings in temperature, at one point this morning Spiritwood was the cold spot in the province at 3.5 degrees which an almost 30-degree difference from yesterday afternoon when the thermometer topped out at 32.7 degrees Celsius which is also a new record for the community. Temperatures moderate starting today with rain in the forecast.
