The Angus Reid Institute says for three premiers in Canada, assessments of their job performances come with high stakes as campaign writs will be issued in Saskatchewan and British Columbia in the coming days with New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs having now called an election for October 21st.
According to the Institute’s latest polling, Saskatchewan’s Premier Scott Moe is at a two-year low, B.C.’s Premier David Eby has seen a slight pre-election bump and New Brunswick’s Premier is seeing the lowest rating of all premiers at 30 per cent.
For Saskatchewan Party leader Scott Moe, the trend is marginally downward, as his approval falls four points to 45 per cent. BC’s premier sees an increase from 43 to 46 per cent compared to last quarter. The last time Scott Moe’s approval was this low was in September 2021 at 43 per cent.
