Inclusion Saskatchewan is hosting their annual Fundraising Breakfast on Thursday morning at Prairieland. CEO Christina Martens-Funk describes Inclusion Saskatchewan as a non-profit that empowers and values people with intellectual disabilities. The organization believes everyone should have the same access to opportunities to lead a regular, fulfilled life.
Martens-Funk says people with an intellectual disability haven’t always been included in society, but what Inclusion Saskatchewan hears daily is they want to be involved in the community. She says, “Every year we support approximately 1,500 people in accessing education, and finding homes and jobs they love, as well as applying for financial support and navigating the health care system. And in doing so we make sure that people have choice and that they get to decide what their future looks like.”
Tickets for the breakfast are available by clicking here. You can also support Inclusion Saskatchewan by donating clothing and small household items to Community Living. Money raised by Community Living helps fund programs offered by Inclusion Saskatchewan.
