The deadline for nominations for the City of Saskatoon’s election has come and gone. Municipal elections are November 13th. There are no last-minute surprises for those running for Mayor. They are Don Atchison, Cynthia Block, Mike Harder, Cary Tarasoff and Gordon Wyant.
Two Wards are uncontested. Bev Dubois will continue as Councillor in Ward 9 and Zach Jeffries in Ward 10. Ward 8 has the largest number of candidates at 8 with their hats in the ring. Ward 2 has six candidates. Wards 1, 5 and 6 have 5 candidates each, including incumbents Darren Hill in Ward 1 and Randy Donauer is running in Ward 5. Four nominees are listed in Ward 7 and three in Wards 3, 4, including Incumbent Troy Davies in Ward 4.
Ward 1 – Kevin Boychuk, Dallas Burnett, incumbent Darren Hill, Kathryn MacDonald and Russell Nadin
Ward 2 – Franklin Arthurs, Jean Bealiveau, Janna Horn, Fraser Kent, Karen Kobussen and Senos Timon
Ward 3 – Devyn Gregoire, Robert Pearce and Mike San Miguel
Ward 4 – incumbent Troy Davies, Courtney Saliken and Numaan Shafqat
Ward 5 – incumbent Randy Donauer, Kyla Kitzul, Tyler Knihnitski, David Prokopchuk and Nick Prytula
Ward 6 – Terry Alm, Tony Bassett, Terry Hoknes, Jasmin Parker and Jonathan Naylor
Ward 7 – Edward Agbai, Holly Kelleher, Jamie Kirkpatrick and Justin Wiens
Ward 8 with eight nominees – Darren Abrey, Henry Tsz Lok Chan, Scott Ford, Prathamesh Kale, Ron Mantyka, Malvina Rapko, Peggy Schmeiser, Kevin Zarycki
Ward 9- Bev Dubois will continue as Councillor in Ward 9
