Update: Fire Investigator says electric scooter caused the fire, but it’s unclear if it was the charging source or the battery and the damage estimate is $200,000.

Everyone safely evacuated a house fire this morning in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.

The call came in at 8:30 a.m. from the 400 block of Avenue V South and arriving firefighters could see smoke and flame from multiple windows in a house. The fire has been put out and no one was hurt.

A fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and damage estimate.
