Judy Harwood decided last year that she would not be seeking re-election.
The long-time reeve (2012-2024) was also a Corman Park councilor between 1994 and 2000.
Harwood is proud of Corman Park’s growth noting that the population is now 9,000 people, or more than some Saskatchewan cities.
The new reeve will be Joe Hargrave, who lives in Casa Rio, but had been the SaskParty MLA for Prince Albert-Carlton. Hargrave was acclaimed after being the only person to submit nomination papers. Harwood will wrap up her time as Corman Park Reeve later next month.
CJWW Radio Agriculture Director Neil Billinger spoke to Judy Harwood about her time as reeve of the largest rural municipality in the province.
